nice to see a bunch of old friends and players in san francisco.  having  them still being winners after so many years points that good fundamentals and learned skills keep you on track.  the new breed hasnt broke the old breed yet. poker is still good and the best players win the money.

a couple of big games going tonite at lucky chances. 10,20, 40 blinds with deep stacks for sure. lots of big pots and plenty of multiway pots past the flo;p. there are many really top players but most still gamble and arent grinding the games.

the games at bay 101 seem pretty decent as usual. not quite as good as in past years but still playable. for big games they have going all the time. 80/160  and 40/80 li8mit holdem. and 5,5,10 no limit holdem. and 2,3,5 no limit. definitely no shortage of money on the table. and players do [...]

spring is getting closer around here. we are getting a few days in the fifties and thats a plus. most of the snow will be gone real soon and when the ground un freezes you can walk around. you see the frozen ground holds the melted snow on top and everything is water. until things [...]

lately the poker games have been very good around where i live. that is always a great sign. but quite a few of the players are getting tight on money. you can tell by how they act. also when they are running low it is normal to see tighter play. they are usually loose anyway [...]

i am looking forward to going to the bay area in march some time and playing some poker and visiting. i was hoping the new garden city casino would be open by then but i guess not. however the games are always good around there as the population has a high wage and money flows. [...]
