it would be nice if some of the card rooms would lower their rake when the game gets shorthanded. what happens is that when it gets to five players the tight players many times quit. as they dont like short handed in the first place plus the rake is a killer if the game is tight at all.
the big card rooms all know this but the small ones hope the game keeps going and they get the added benefit of the faster rake.
what happens is this gets reinforced the times the game goes anyways, so they do not change it.
