with the big snow year we have had here in montana the deer are struggling for food. they arent starving but still eating all day long on less than ideal bushes. each night i have up to about thirty by the house bedding down in the trees. i hope they make  it as it is still middle of winter and a long time yet till new growth shows up or green grass.
